Beloved,
I am your daughter. I am your child. I will follow you to the ends of the earth and back. My heart longs for you. My song is for you. My life is yours. Oh my Beloved Abba, I feel I am stumbling in the dark. I feel as though my lamp has run out of oil. I cannot see the path ahead of me. I cry out, “Oh my Dearest, save me!” Suddenly, a warm, strong hand has taken my own. The hand lifts me, I am pulled into you. You embrace me Abba. You are warm and solid. You speak with a voice, so strong, yet so gentle. Your very presence calms me. You are the Father of Lights, and you are the light. The darkness once surrounding me clears up. I can see. I can see my path. I can see my faults behind me. I can see there will be trouble ahead. But I also see victory, and your Kingdom at the end of it all. But the most wonderful thing I see is right in front of me. I see you. I see your lovely face. I see all the love of the universe pouring forth from your eyes… for me. I begin to cry, and you hold me close. After all I have done, how can all that love be for me? How can you long to hear me say I love you, as much I long to hear you say it to me? Oh my Beloved, you are my everything. You are my day, and you are my night.
You are my waking, and you are my sleeping You are my joy, and you are my
tears. You are my song, and you are my yelling. Though I may want for things
besides you, all of my heart’s desire is in you. You are my Beloved.
